Politics at its best - Rewarding Bad Behavior

It just amazes me to watch the government REWARD bad behavior. Time and time again, they say that we are headed for doom, if we don't fix this economic crisis. Well, all you got to ask first, is how did we get here? The sun, the moon, the tide, no, POOR decisions and incompetent behavior. Yeah, one or two may be bad luck, but since when do reward bad behavior with more of the same?

I couldn't have said it better myself.. Its giving to the incompetent from the competent. Here is a great quote from Jim Rogers, one of the world's most prominent international investors:

"Without giving specific names, most of the significant American banks, the larger banks, are bankrupt, totally bankrupt," said Rogers, who is now a private investor.

"What is outrageous economically and is outrageous morally is that normally in times like this, people who are competent and who saw it coming and who kept their powder dry go and take over the assets from the incompetent," he said. "What's happening this time is that the government is taking the assets from the competent people and giving them to the incompetent people and saying, now you can compete with the competent people. It is horrible economics."

Our mother wouldn't be proud. But I guess thats what you get when the country is really run by the rich, the string holders of the politician puppets.

Bottom line -- Politics is making your motives LOOK like everyone else's desires.

The key to Health and Logevity - Maintaining Balance

There is such a thing as collective consciousness and it is very real. One person thinking a fearful thought does have an effect on the whole whether we realize it or not. Think about the fear that ripples through the stock market based on what one or a handful of people are thinking and saying. Thoughts are like this. They ripple through and affect everyone. We can begin to bring balance to our lives by thoroughly understanding this and being willing to do something about it. What we do on an individual level is important and key. We need to learn how to balance ourselves and move beyond fear mode. Fear is immobilizing and keeps us as victims.

We can balance ourselves on individual levels by first eliminating our fear based thoughts and patterns and belief systems. Examine where these originate from and decide what to do about them. Simply don't invest in fear. There isn't a very good return in doing so. Be willing to work on yourself and not just from the outside, but from the inside. Learn to truly connect mind, body, and spirit. We can read those words and know that we should do this, but perhaps not have an understanding of what this means.

It's simple. We are not just these physical bodies. They are simply vehicles. Your mind and body long for something other than worry and fretting. Recognize and eliminate self-created stress revolving around pieces of paper and material possessions. Make time for physical exercise because your body needs it. Make it a point to meditate even if you don't see the point in it, because your spirit longs for real connection. Your mind, body, and spirit are designed to work together in harmony. And the more you can integrate these, the more balance you achieve, not just for yourself, but for all.

Exercise 1: Cheer for the Self - Empower yourself; be your own cheerleader

  • Standing on tiptoes, extend the arms up above the shoulders with hands and eyes wide open. Say "SA". Next, squat down swinging the arms down and back with eyes and hands closed. Say "TA".
  • Then, stand, with eyes and hands open, swing arms to cross in front of chest. Say "NA".
  • Stay standing tall and swing bent arms back on your side with closed hands and eyes. Say "MA".
  • Repeat the cycle.
Duration: Only 2-3 minutes
